Front Wheel covers (potential controversy!)
I thought long and hard about it but made this design decision for two reasons.
In the cartoon the front steering has full wheel covers but that just wont work in reality especially because I have created real world viable front suspension. They are going to have to have some cut-outs.
It looks great in the cartoon but for a real model as you can see from their mock up below it does not look that visually interesting. With the cut-outs you can expose more of the workings and as the wheel spins it looks much more visually interesting.
So please don’t hate me but this is the direction I’m going for the front! I think it looks good but I can see both sides of the argument.

My take on it, once this is textured and animated I think it’s going to look a lot more visually interesting while maintaining the feel of the original bike. I might change my mind in later posts! but for now I’m going with this.
